Good to Know

Fiberglass Pool Repair Questions

Fiberglass pools have a smooth, one-piece shell rather than a troweled plaster surface. If you're not sure, let us know during your estimate and we can confirm.

Osmotic blisters usually form when water works its way into small imperfections in the gel coat over time. They need to be properly dried out and repaired, not just patched over.

Most surface and many structural cracks can be repaired without replacing the shell. We'll assess the extent of the damage and let you know if it's more serious.

We refinish repaired areas to blend with the surrounding gel coat as closely as possible, though very close inspection may still reveal where the repair was made.

It depends on the type and extent of the repair, but properly done gel coat and crack repairs are built to hold up to normal pool use for years.
